Candacé Jackson, J.D.

Candacé Jackson, J.D. is a native Virginian who is a contractor in the legal and educational fields. She earned her B.A. from Hampton University and her J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. Her career in higher education began in tutorial and resources centers before moving into the classrooms of Hampton University, Delaware State University, and The Graduate School USA. Candacé has had the pleasure of utilizing her legal experience in the federal government, business development, international law firms, and law school administration. She is a contributing writer in “Go, Tell Michelle: African American Women Write to the New First Lady” published in 2009. In the community, she is a member of Alfred Street Baptist Church where she is an active member of the music and worship arts ministry choirs and orchestra. She is the 1st Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated Xi Zeta Omega Chapter charged with leading international service programming for the chapter. Candacé has received countless honors to include the Officer of the Year, Dale S. Margulis Community Service, Unsung Soror, and UB BLSA President’s awards.
